PokerStars officially revealed the dates, schedules and details of its Championship and Festival stops in 2017. Over the first half of the year, the brand’s new tournaments are heading to a number of destinations, including London, Macau, Rozvadov, Panama and Monte Carlo.
The Director of Live Events at PokerStars Edgar Stuchly said that the brand had an amazing heritage of live events, especially considering the fact it had hosted over 560 tournament series. Mr. Stuchly also shared that over the years, the companies’ championship and festival events had managed to attract over 800,000 players from all over the world, and had granted awards totalling more than $1.5 billion.
The brand, which is currently considered as the most popular one on a global scale, revealed that 2017 will start for all poker lovers on January 6th, when it is going back to the Bahamas for a 13th consecutive year with its PokerStars Championship Bahamas. The latter is to end on January 14th. Then, in March, the 2017 Championship of the brand is to head to Panama. After this, in April it is to head to Macau and Monte Carlo, and in August the event will be hosted by the city of Barcelona.
When it comes to the much-loved PokerStars Festivals, the brand plans to offer poker lovers a great range of tournaments with various buy-ins to a great number of destinations worldwide. The Festivals of the brand are planned to start in January in London, followed by Rozvadov in March.
As already mentioned above, the first PokerStars Festival in 2017 will be hosted in London. The Festival is to take place from January 22nd to January 29th at the Hippodrome Casino. A total of 22 events will be offered in 8 days, and the tournament will feature a £990 Buy-in Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of £400,000.
Then, in the period from March 2nd to March 13th, PokerStars Festival Rozvadov is to take place at the King’s Casino. It will offer poker lovers more than 30 events in 12 days, including a Main Event featuring a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000. March will also see the next PokerStars Championship for 2017 kick off. The tournament is to be hosted by the Sortis Hotel & Casino in Panama City and will provide players with the chance to enter a total of 56 events.
Then, the PokerStars brand is to see its Championship Macau kick off on March 30th. The tournament is to last for 11 days, ending on April 9th and will be hosted at the premier entertainment venue in Macau – the City of Dreams.
Last, but not least for the first half of 2017, comes the PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo. It is to take place from April 25th to May 5th at the Monte Carlo Bay Casino Hotel & Resort. The Championship will offer poker players 11 days full of excitement and excellent gaming options and a Main Event featuring a buy-in of €5,300.
